Course Information

As a result of such great reviews and feedback from those who have attended our previous compliance officer courses, we are hoping to facilitate this training again this year. We are currently accepting expressions of interest for those who are interested in attending.
The course will be facilitated on 14th and 15th May 2025 at the Holiday Inn 10/14 Centre Rd, Melbourne Airport VIC 3045.
The course will have a limit of 25 participants so please get your express of interest in early.
This training is ran over two days and participants are advised to bring their eagerness to learn and a postive attitude.
Presenters
Mass Management staff have over 150 years of combined experience with both the transport industry and compliance management. Our presenters will share their experiences and expertise with the attendees to ensure a strong understanding of the role of compliance in your business.
What are the benfits of this course
There is a significant benefit for compliance staff interacting with other compliance officers from other businesses and operators. Attendees are encouraged to share their experiences, concerns and successes with the group. Past attendees have commented how good it is to be able to liaise with other compliance staff to share ideas as a result of meeting at this course.
The two day course covers topics such as;
• The Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) - in simple terms, the history, reality and the facts
• Fatigue Laws, Work Diaries and EWD's - the background, purpose and the audit process
• Accreditation - the accreditation process, what records are required and dealing with drivers and paperwork
• Chain of Responsibility - the background, purpose and how to realistically implement and monitor CoR in the business
• Risk control measures for the top ten transport safety risks
Is the course an RTO approved course?
Yes components of this courses content will provide the attendee with a Nationally Recognised Certificate of Attainment for TLIF0014 - Monitor the Safety of Transport Activities (Chain of Responsibility).
Compliance monitoring and record keeping is vital in the transport industry and this training will equip staff with the skills, understanding and confidence to undertake this important role.

Costs & Details
The course will be facilitated on 14th and 15th May 2025 at the Holiday Inn 10/14 Centre Rd, Melbourne Airport VIC 3045.
The cost of the training is $3300 inc GST on accommodation only. The cost includes accommodation, all meals and a Certificate in Attainment for TLIF0014 - Monitor the Safety of Transport Activities (Chain of Responsibility).
If you wish to attend but don’t require accommodation, the cost of the course is $3090 no GST payable.
What do I need to bring?
Apart from a positive attitude and an eagerness to learn, we ask participants to bring their NHVAS Accreditation folder/s if this applies to them.

Course information
Due to an increased number of enforcement activity to Class 1 operators and Overside load operators by NHVR, Mass Management will be conducting a 1-day course solely based on OSOM loads running under Gazette notices and permits to all states.
The course covers the following;
• Applicable Class 1 Gazettes across multiple jurisdictions that apply to your load
• Where to find the Gazette notice that is appropriate to your State or Territory
• How to read and interpret the Gazette
• Where to find the approved routes that apply in all States and Territories including recent 12 month trial in SA to fall in line with National limits
• What is classed as an indivisible load and its meaning under the Regulations
• When multiple items can be carried
• NHVR charges, penalties and prosecution results
• Recommendations on risk controls to assist in compliance
• NHVR process when intercepting your vehicle and how they assess loads including the legal mass adjustments required under law
• Mountainous area pilot requirements and other state and federal restrictions including travel times, night travel, public holidays and holiday periods.
What do I need to bring?
A laptop is preferable to bring as the majority of this training is live demonstrations and discussions rather than the traditional power point presentations.
