Top Tip: Road train network update in Victoria.

Hi everyone, VicRoads and the Mildura Rural City Council have recently approved recent changes to the Victorian Road Train Network, which has been Gazetted for quite a few months (No longer requiring a permit to access if your operating a standard configuration 36.5mtr A-Double) and now includes the recent addition of gazetted roads in the Mildura Rural City Council (MRCC).

The map below shows the updated MRCC roads with the majority highlighted in orange (Conditionally approved – mainly dry weather use only). This is a great step forward for the use of road trains in Northern Victoria and provides easier access for the upcoming grain and grape harvest seasons.

The notice notice that is linked below, explains the Road Train Network Gazette requirements, “Please Note” access without a permit is only for Standard A-Double Configurations , if you operate a B-Triple, Modular B Triple, AB Triple or you’re A-Double Road Train doesn’t meet the axle spacing requirements listed in the link below, you will need to apply for a permit.
