Truck Maintenance and Service book
The Truck Service Record Book provides for the recording of maintenance that has been completed on trucks. Many operators are maintaining their own vehicles however they are not recording the various inspections completed and the works carried out on their vehicles. Under the Chain of Responsibility (CoR) provisions of the Heavy Vehicle National Law, operators must ensure that vehicles are safe to operate, have been inspected and repaired. To validate these actions there must be records of the repairs and inspections that are completed. The books also provide for a record of the use of the vehicle, the 52-week table located at the front of the book is your record of when the vehicle was or was not used.
